2011 Sojourns Award

Sacred Art of Living Center has been awarded the 2011 Sojourns Award.  The Sojourns Award is the Regence Foundation’s new initiative to recognize inspirational leaders in the field of palliative and end-of-life care within Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah. Recipients are organizations or individuals with accomplishments in this area and the passion to make a positive difference in unexpected ways.

Recipients receive a $50,000 grant from The Regence Foundation, which is intended to symbolize an investment in the recipient’s future contributions in the area of palliative and end-of-life care. We at the Sacred Art of Living Center are grateful for Regence Foundation’s recognition of our work, and their vote of confidence in our continuing contribution.

Richard Groves is an internationally popular speaker who presents a variety of educational and spiritual development programs for health care institutions, faith communities of all traditions and the general public. Depending on the audience, most Sacred Art of Living Center workshops are appropriate for physician, nursing, mental health professional and chaplain/clergy CEUs. Richard has earned graduate degrees in theology, ethics, pastoral counseling and law (click here for Curriculum Vitae). His doctoral research focuses on cultural and inter-faith perspectives regarding the Sacred Art of Living and Dying.
