The
Story of this Book of Life...
In
the 1980s, Sister Mary Agnes, a Cloistered Carmelite
nun, created the world’s first interfaith
web-site prayer network for persons in serious
need. Each time a name was submitted, she connected
with a variety of healing sites and communities
of prayer around the world. Mary Agnes was grateful
for the remarkable reports regarding the relief
of spiritual suffering. In 1997, Sister died and
willed her project to Sacred Art of Living. The
“Book of Life” now resides at the
Center’s St. Raphael Chapel and has received
more than ten thousand requests from around the
world.
The
Sacred Art of Living Center continues this tradition
and has expanded the number of prayer sites literally
around the globe, representing many faith traditions.
These
names are held in prayerful reverence with continuous
prayer every Thursday at St. Raphael Chapel in
the Sacred Art of Living Center. This book is
also an integral part of Sacred Art of Living
Center programs. |
